_Breaking Dawn (Movies) Triggering Seizures in People
Seizures at the Movies
_
An average person might find this absolutely amazing, but this November (2011) after the launch of the Vampire / Warewolf / Fantasy / Romance thriller Breaking Dawn there were 2 cases of people who had seizures while watching this movie.
In one case the man had seizures due to the very graphical birth scene in addition to blasts of blinding light and he started convulsing and what he remembers is that he blanked out and then some time later wakes up on the floor of the movie theatre.
His girlfriend, however, who was watching the movie with him, says that he was convulsing, snoring and also trying to breathe.
In another case, a lady reported that her husband had the same thing happen to her as in the above case. He apparently started mumbling and having rapid movements with eyelids and he does not remember at all this incident.
Seizures happening while watching movies may be absolutely amazing to hear for average people, but they are actually not that unheard of. A Reuters article says that in 1997 a pokemon episode was taken off air (this is a Japanese cartoon) following near to 700 incidents of seizures reported by the viewers.
So the “TV box” can actually harm you not only psychologically, but also physically!!! Perhaps stay away from shows or movies with lots of blinking and blinding lights to avoid seizures, especially if you are prone to them in the first place.
